About Avan
Background
Avan was founded in 1993 by expatriate Dutch couple Jeff Van Baardwyk and his wife Marion in a compact factory in Hallam, Victoria. Their sons Jeffrey (who became Managing Director) and Scott later joined the business. The company began with the innovative folding-wall A-Liner camper design and expanded into pop-top caravans, full caravans, and motorhomes. They outgrew two Hallam factories before purchasing their current Pakenham site in 2003.
Avan is now the second-largest caravan manufacturer in Australia with over 25,000 RVs on Australian roads. Their use of pre-painted aluminium cladding is a key differentiator, offering durability, UV resistance, and lighter weight. The company backs its products with a 24-month manufacturing warranty.

Avan Super Centre in Penrith is the flagship dealer, with authorised dealers across Australia including Avan Adelaide, Avan Sydney, and Premier Avan.
