Background

Masterpiece Caravans was established in 2016 (some sources cite 2015) by Remon Raffaello, who brought over 15 years of caravan building experience and an engineering background to the venture. Before founding Masterpiece, Raffaello worked in various operational and manufacturing engineering roles at JB Caravans, Elite, Regent, and Supreme.

Raffaello purchased land in the heart of Campbellfield, Melbourne’s caravan manufacturing hub, to build a purpose-built manufacturing facility. Production currently hovers around four to five vans per week, with the company expanding its retail presence including a new premier dealership on Melbourne’s Hume Highway.

Masterpiece Caravans is an Australian-owned, founder-operated business. Remon Raffaello remains the owner and is directly involved in operations. The company is a boutique manufacturer rather than a mass-production outfit.

Manufacturing

Caravans are manufactured in Campbellfield, Victoria, in a purpose-built facility. Masterpiece is proudly Australian-made. The company focuses on luxury off-road caravans with features such as Terraglide airbag suspension and lithium battery systems. As a boutique builder, they maintain relatively low production volumes to ensure quality control.
